Legendary Hybrid â Potent, Resinous & Easy to Grow!
White Widowâs a hungry girl. Not at firstâearly on, sheâs shy, almost delicate. But give her a few weeks and sheâll start demanding more than just the basics. Feeding her right isnât about some rigid schedule or perfect ratios. Itâs about watching her, listening (yeah, plants talk), and knowing when sheâs just being dramatic versus when sheâs actually starving. Letâs break it down by stage, but donât treat this like gospel. Itâs more like a loose map scrawled on a napkin after three beers.
Seedling stage? Chill. Donât go dumping nutrients into her tiny root zone like youâre trying to win a science fair. She doesnât want it. Honestly, if your mediumâs halfway decentâlight mix, coco, whateverâsheâs got what she needs for the first 10-14 days. Maybe a splash of root stim if youâre feeling fancy. But mostly, just water. Lightly. Donât drown her. Donât dry her out. Keep it Goldilocks.
Now vegâthis is where she starts stretching her legs. Around week 3 or so, youâll see it. That shift. Sheâs not just surviving anymore, sheâs growing. Fast. Start her on a light veg feedâsomething with a decent NPK like 3-1-2 or 4-2-3. Go easy at first, maybe 1/4 strength. Watch the tips. If they burn, back off. If she stays pale and sluggish, bump it up. Cal-mag? Probably. Especially if youâre running RO water or coco. Donât overthink it. Just give her what sheâs asking for.
By week 5, sheâs probably a bushy little monster. Youâll need to up the feedâhalf strength, maybe more. Nitrogenâs still king here, but donât forget the micros. Magnesium, iron, boron . . . all that weird stuff she wonât tell you she needs until itâs too late and her leaves go all Picasso on you. Feed every other watering, or every third if sheâs sensitive. Some phenos are drama queens. Others are tanks. Youâll learn.
Pre-flower hits like a mood swing. One day sheâs vegging, next day sheâs throwing pistils and acting like sheâs got somewhere to be. Time to shift gears. Lower the nitrogen, bump the phosphorus and potassium. Something like 2-4-5 or 1-3-4. Transition feeds are trickyâtoo much too soon and she stalls, too little and she stretches like a yoga instructor. I usually go 50/50 veg and bloom nutes for a week, then full bloom the next.
Flowering proper? Sheâs in full diva mode now. Weeks 3-6, she wants food. Big food. High P and K. Think 1-4-5 or 0-5-7. Feed every other watering, maybe more if sheâs in coco or hydro. Watch for salt buildup. Flush if she starts looking crispy. Donât forget the boostersâPK 13/14, molasses, whatever snake oil you believe in. Just donât overdo it. Sheâll take what she needs and leave the rest to rot in the root zone.
Late flowerâweeks 7-9 or soâease off. Sheâs slowing down. Fattening up. You donât want to be pumping her full of nitrogen when sheâs trying to ripen. Cut back to just bloom base, maybe a little sugar or enzyme product if youâre into that. Some folks flush for two weeks. I do one. Some donât flush at all. Honestly? Do what works. Just donât harvest a plant that tastes like Miracle-Gro and regret your life choices.
Every growâs different. Every White Widow phenoâs got her own quirks. Some are greedy, some are chill. Some hate high EC, others lap it up like itâs Gatorade. The scheduleâs a guide, not a rulebook. Pay attention. Take notes. Screw up a few times. Thatâs how you learn.
And for the love of all things greenâdonât ask Reddit for feeding advice unless you want 47 conflicting answers and a headache. Just watch your plant. Sheâll tell you everything you need to know. You just gotta shut up and listen.
