Legendary Hybrid â Potent, Resinous & Easy to Grow!
White Widowâs a weird one. You think sheâs readyâfrosty, thick, stinking like pine and pepperâbut then you look closer and sheâs still got that glassy-eyed look. Not done. Not yet. You gotta wait. Or donât. Depends what kind of high youâre chasing.
Some folks say 8 weeks of flower. Textbook. But thatâs just a number. Could be 9. Could be 10. Depends on your setup, your light, your patience. And the plant herselfâsheâs got her own damn schedule. Doesnât care what the seed bank told you.
Hereâs the thing: pistils lie. Those little white hairs? Theyâll turn orange early just to mess with you. Donât trust 'em. You gotta look deeperâtrichomes. Get a loupe, a scope, whatever. Look for cloudy heads. Not clear. Not amber. Cloudy like a stormâs about to hit. Thatâs peak White Widow. Balanced. Euphoric. Punchy but not sleepy.
Nowâif you want couchlock, that heavy, dumb, melt-into-the-sofa type of stoneâwait till those trichomes go amber. Not all of them. Just like 20-30%. Any more and she starts to taste like regret. Bitter, overripe. Like you missed the party and showed up for cleanup.
But if you chop too early? Youâll know. The highâs buzzy, anxious, short-lived. Like drinking three espressos and forgetting why. No depth. No soul.
Honestly, I think the best time to harvest White Widow is when youâre standing there, scissors in hand, and you feel that weird gut certainty. Likeâyeah. Now. Even if the trichomes are 90% cloudy, 5% clear, 5% amber. Even if your buddy says wait another week. Screw it. Itâs your plant. Your smoke.
Alsoâsmell her. Not just a sniff. Bury your nose in her. If she smells deep and loud and sticky, like sheâs yelling at your brain through your nostrils, sheâs probably ready. If she still smells green? Give her more time.
One more thing. Flush. Two weeks before harvest, stop feeding. Just water. Let her burn through the last of her nutes. Youâll taste the difference. Clean, smooth, not like licking a battery.
Anyway. Donât overthink it. But also donât rush. Sheâs worth the wait.
