Legendary Hybrid â Potent, Resinous & Easy to Grow!
White Widow. The name alone feels like a punchâsharp, iconic, a little dangerous. Itâs one of those strains thatâs been around forever, or at least it feels that way. People talk about it like itâs a legend, and maybe it is. But if youâre growing it, youâre not just chasing a highâyouâre chasing grams. So how much does this frosty beast actually yield per plant?
Short answer? Somewhere between 400 and 600 grams per plant outdoors. Indoors, more like 350 to 450 grams per square meter. But thatâs just numbers. They donât tell you about the heartbreak, the sticky fingers, the late nights checking trichomes under a flashlight like some kind of paranoid goblin. Yield depends on everythingâlight, nutrients, training, luck, maybe even the phase of the moon. I donât know. Sometimes it feels like voodoo.
If youâre growing indoors, under LEDs or HPS, in a tent or a closet or a converted laundry roomâexpect less. Controlled environments are great for quality, but they cap your space. Sea of Green? Youâll get more per square meter, but less per plant. Let them stretch? Bigger plants, longer veg time, more grams. Itâs a tradeoff. Always is.
Outdoors, thoughâdifferent game. If youâve got sun, soil, and patience, White Widow can go full jungle mode. Like, shoulder-height bushes dripping with resin. Iâve seen plants push past 600 grams easy. But then again, Iâve seen them rot in the rain two weeks before harvest. Thatâs the gamble. Nature doesnât care about your yield goals.
Alsoâdonât forget phenotype variation. Not every White Widow seed is gonna behave the same. Some stay squat and bushy, others stretch like theyâre trying to escape. Some are stingy. Some are generous. You canât always tell until itâs too late to do anything about it.
I once grew a Widow that gave me barely 200 grams. Looked healthy the whole time, smelled amazing, but just didnât bulk up. Another timeâsame seed bank, same setupâI pulled nearly 500 grams off one plant. Go figure. Maybe it liked the music I was playing that time. Or maybe it just wanted to.
So yeah, if youâre looking for a clean number, call it 400-600 grams per plant outdoors, 350-450 grams per square meter indoors. But donât bet your rent money on it. White Widow is reliable, sureâbut sheâs also got a wild streak. Like a cat that lets you pet her, then bites you for no reason. You grow her for the buzz, not the predictability.
Anyway. If youâre chasing yield, there are bigger producers out there. But if youâre chasing that classic, earthy, citrusy, knock-you-on-your-ass kind of highâWhite Widowâs still queen. Just donât expect her to make it easy.
